A short update for today 11/3/25 on the status of the government shutdown:
+ Courts have ordered the Administration to use the reserve funds to fund SNAP but it is not clear how soon that will happen.
+ WIC is still funded (the Women/Infant/Childrens program)
+ Most Federal employees have now gone 1 month with no paycheck
+ Food banks are having to increase resources
+ Several tribes are also stepping up where federal government should be.

Our team will begin calling our community members this week to make sure they are ok and to connect them to the local resources available.
