Our Executive Director
Jaynie (she/her) leads Arizona Native Vote, a non-profit organization dedicated to building political power in rural and tribal communities. From 2022 to 2023, Jaynie worked with a team of organizers and Firekeepers to start the paperwork and incorporation of Arizona Native Vote to expand year-round civic education and engagement efforts. In 2020, Jaynie was called by her elders to organize Arizona Native voters. She worked with the Navajo County Democrats leading an incredible team of grassroots organizers who helped carry Arizona in the 2020 and 2022 elections. Previously she worked with EMILY’s List, Rock the Vote, and Arizona State University’s (ASU) Office of the President.
At ASU Jaynie worked with Dr. Peterson Zah to increase Indigenous enrollment, graduation rates, and faculty recruitment. This inclusive effort involved partnerships with tribal nations and communities and is now a framework for the Arizona Native Vote organizing efforts.
Jaynie is an alum of Arizona State University and the Harvard Kennedy School. She is a citizen of the Navajo Nation.
