Our big week ahead: June 15 - June 24

Intergenerational organizing is key to increase voter registration, civic education and engagement, and overall turnout. This year the Navajo Voters Coalition, Clean Elections, Arizona Native Vote, and many others are teaming up to energize tribal and rural voters.

The Navajo Voters Coalition Conference will be held Tuesday, June 18th at Twin Arrows, from 8 am to 4 pm (MST-AZ). The theme is Voter Education: You can Make a Difference. We encourage everyone to attend and be actively involved in voter registration/education with your family, friends, and relatives. Let's continue to raise awareness about the importance and power of our vote! Policies have consequences.

Arizona Native Vote is organizing a dynamic panel of young voters who will highlight their work to reach peers (locally and nationally) and ensuring aunties, uncles, grandmas, and the grandpas are included. Panel will present at 2pm, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Twin Arrows, Flagstaff, AZ.

Arizona Native Vote executive director Jaynie Parrish, Navajo Nation, is participating in Project Over Zero for the 2024-2025 year and she will be providing voice and representation from her tribal and rural organizing experience.

Over Zero was founded in response to the global need to counteract and prevent identity-based violence and other forms of group-targeted harm.

Arizona Native Vote youth organizers will be participating in the first ever Gen Vote Electoral Justice Summit June 22-24 in Phoenix. We will have a panel on the 100 years anniversary of the Indian Citizenship Act. This gathering is an invite only event centering young diverse organizers, and voters to protect voting rights and more. We are always happy to partner with our good friends at Generation Vote.
