Background:

Arizona Native Vote engages in a permanent, year-round organizing campaign designed to increase voter turnout and build long-term political power across Hopi Tribal lands. The Hopi Field Manager will work under the Field Director to maximize long-term civic engagement, as well as voter turnout in county, state, and federal elections.

Roles/Duties: 

  • Develop strong relationships with voters in all Hopi communities.

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers. 

  • Develop and support relational community organizers.

  • Plan and manage voter-facing events and attend community activities

  • Accomplish voter contact goals on a weekly and quarterly basis and work well under pressure. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with tribal and county officials, political candidates, and partner organizations. 

  • Provide daily/weekly metrics to the Field Director. 

  • Work with ANV staff to implement organizational goals across Hopi lands. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship).

  • Experience working in the Hopi community.

  • Full availability for the last two weeks before an election is required. 

  • Experience training and supporting volunteers and relational community organizers. 

  • Familiarity with either Google Suite or Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings, especially leading up to the November election. 

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a team 

  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to work evening and weekend hours. Travel is required. 

  • Must live local to Hopi tribal lands.

  • Positive attitude and a commitment and passion to the cause of building long-term political power among Hopi voters.
